Virtualidad en educación universitaria en tiempos de pandemia. Una mirada retrospectiva

Abstract

El objetivo general de la investigación fue analizar la virtualidad en educación universitaria en tiempos de pandemia. Una mirada retrospectiva. Se desarrolló mediante un diseño metodológico cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo con apoyo documental-bibliográfico, los investigadores organizaron un proceso investigativo en donde la población de estudio se basó primordialmente en documentos escritos como trabajos científicos arbitrados, estadísticas, para indagar los escritos con el objeto de estudiarlos y construir conclusiones que favorecieron la generación de nuevos conocimientos. Como resultado se puede indicar que la virtualidad representó un apoyo en el avance de la educación superior en tiempos de pandemia y que en la actualidad complementa la prespecialidad en las instituciones universitarias. Se concluye que la experiencia de esta emergencia sanitaria y distanciamiento social que pasaron los docentes y estudiantes universitarios, realizando un esfuerzo para mantenerse activos tecnológicamente e interactuar, con el propósito de prolongar el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de calidad.

The general objective of the research was to analyze virtuality in university education in times of pandemic. A retrospective look. It was developed through a descriptive quantitative methodological design with documentary-bibliographic support, the researchers organized a research process where the study population was based primarily on written documents such as refereed scientific papers, statistics, to investigate the writings in order to study them and build conclusions that favored the generation of new knowledge. As a result, it can be indicated that virtuality represented a support in the advancement of higher education in times of pandemic and that at present it complements the prespecialty in university institutions. It is concluded that the experience of this health emergency and social distancing that university teachers and students went through, making an effort to remain technologically active and interact, with the purpose of prolonging the teaching and learning process of quality.
