Esclareciendo el universo simbólico del pensamiento de Miguel de Unamuno

Abstract

Solamente leyendo a Miguel de Unamuno desde una perspectiva diacrónica e investigando en la forma helicoidal que tiene de construir su obra, aparece la unidad de sentido que transita por toda su producción literaria, y toda su vida. Comenzó siendo un jovencísimo fuerista intransigente, miembro de las Sociedades euskalerriacas, hasta convertirse en el intelectual más importantes que hemos tenido, desde la defensa de las tesis liberales. Entendiendo liberal como en el XIX: defensor a ultranza de todas y cada una de las libertades de los individuos. Por ello, mantengo que su auténtica crisis es la de 1883: la del cambio de estructuras intelectuales tradicionalistas, por las liberales y progresistas. Postura de la que Unamuno ya no se apartará un ápice. Desde esta interpretación liberal cobran sentido los conceptos de Fe, Dios y Cristo, usados como categorías teológicas desacralizadas, para incitar a la transformación social de la realidad desde la libertad del individuo.

Only by reading Miguel de Unamuno from a diachronic perspective, and investigating the helicoidal way he has of constructing his work, the unity of meaning that runs through all his literary production, and all his life, appears. He began as a very young intransigent fuerista, member of the Euskalerriac Societies, until he became the most important intellectual we have had, from the defense of the liberal thesis. Understanding liberal as in the nineteenth century: defender at all costs of each and every one of the freedoms of individuals. Therefore, I maintain that its real crisis is that of 1883: the change of traditionalist intellectual structures, for liberal and progressive ones. A position from which Unamuno will not depart one iota. From this liberal interpretation, the concepts of Faith, God and Christ make sense, used as desacralized theological categories, to incite the social transformation of reality from the freedom of the individual.
