Origen y antecedentes de una institución de salud de la Región-Ciudad de Barquisimeto: ASCARDIO

Abstract

La investigación tiene como objetivo la reconstrucción de la historia de la Asociación Cardiovascular Centro-occidental de Venezuela (Ascardio) y del Centro Regional de Enfermedades Cardiovasculares del Estado Lara, en el contexto de la historia de la Ciudad-Región de Barquisimeto. Se describen los antecedentes institucionales y su inserción en la historia de las instituciones de salud en Venezuela y en la Región en el contexto histórico social del último cuarto del siglo XX. Adicionalmente, se presentan sus antecedentes históricos y el análisis de la realidad de las instituciones en Venezuela
