Gestión del servicio de recojo y tratamiento de residuos sólidos y satisfacción de la población en la ciudad de Chachapoyas-Perú

Abstract

En la actualidad, la correcta gestión de los residuos sólidos se ha convertido en un debate fundamental para preservar el cuidado del medio ambiente y la salud de la población, por ello es necesario evaluar la eficacia y eficiencia del servicio de recojo y tratamiento de desechos sólidos. El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar la gestión del servicio de recojo y tratamiento de residuos sólidos que ofrece la municipalidad de Chachapoyas, así como la satisfacción de sus pobladores. La investigación fue de tipo mixta, con diseño no experimental. Los resultados más resaltantes radican en el uso de los programas de gestión ambiental que realiza la municipalidad como lo es el programa “Trueque” y la obtención de abono orgánico mediante el método “Takakura”. Concluyendo que la municipalidad de Chachapoyas, posee dentro de su gestión la orientación medio ambiental, llevando a cabo los diferentes programas enfocados a la concientización de la población en cuanto a la reducción y tratamiento de residuos sólidos para una mejora en su calidad de vida.

At present, the proper management of solid waste has become a fundamental debate to preserve the environment and the health of the population; therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the solid waste collection and treatment service. The objective of this research was to evaluate the solid waste collection service offered by the municipality of Chachapoyas to its residents through the technique of solid waste characterization, identifying tons of solid waste emitted and types of solid waste. The research was of a mixed type, with a non-experimental design. In addition, the survey technique was used to identify the level of satisfaction of the population with respect to the solid waste collection service and the management of the municipality by means of an interview. The most outstanding results are the high level of satisfaction of the population and the environmental management programs carried out by the municipality, such as the “Barter” program and the “Takakura” method for obtaining organic fertilizer. In conclusion, the municipality of Chachapoyas has an environmental orientation in its management, carrying out different programs focused on raising awareness among the population regarding the reduction and treatment of solid waste to improve their quality of life.
