La participación ciudadana desde la perspectiva del Desarrollo Social Sostenible

Abstract

La democracia continuamente ha estado en el centro de los debates y de los retos de las sociedades, y en el siglo XXI no podía ser de otra manera, actualmente asiste al desafío de contribuir a los Objetivos de desarrollo Sustentable (ODS 2015-2030). Así la investigación pretende comprender la percepción de la participación ciudadana desde la perspectiva del Desarrollo Social Sostenible (DSS). Metodológicamente hablando, se realizó desde el paradigma interpretativo, el tipo de la investigación es hermenéutica, en el diseño de la investigación cualitativo, se contó con la técnica de la entrevista focalizada, la observación, y así se realizaron entrevistas para develar desde el imaginario de los diez (10) participantes, éstos informantes claves integraron un grupo focal, ya que conforman una orla de expertos desde sus distintos roles Docentes- estudiantes y actores institucionales. El instrumento utilizado consistió en una guía de entrevista semiestructurada; se trianguló la información con la teoría; se realizó el proceso de Categorización, Estructuración – Contrastación, Interpretación y construcción teórica de la información facilitada por los sujetos de estudio; se reveló que se sostiene una vinculación entre el compromiso de los ciudadanos, el desarrollo sostenible, y que se considera a la participación ciudadana un medio para alcanzarlos, colocando a las universidades como instituciones idóneas para formar a los ciudadanos hacia la sociedad del conocimiento, en el marco de la sostenibilidad social.

Methodologically speaking, it was carried out from the interpretive paradigm, the type of research is hermeneutic, in the qualitative research design, the technique of focused interview, observation was used, and thus interviews were conducted to reveal from the imaginary of The ten (10) participants, these key informants integrated a focus group, since they make up a group of experts from their different roles Teachers-students and institutional actors. The instrument used consisted of a semi-structured interview guide; the information was triangulated with the theory; the process of Categorization, Structuring - Contrasting, Interpretation and theoretical construction of the information provided by the study subjects was carried out; It was revealed that there is a link between the commitment of citizens and sustainable development, and that citizen participation is considered a means to achieve them, placing universities as suitable institutions to train citizens towards the knowledge society, in the framework of social sustainability.
