Maestras rurales: Entre su cotidianidad y su vocación profesional

Abstract

El estudio tiene como objetivo comprender las realidades de maestras rurales en tres escuelas ubicadas en las provincias de Lengupá y Centro del departamento de Boyacá, Colombia y su rol en la transformación de sus comunidades como madres y profesionales. Asimismo, se resalta la necesidad de promover investigaciones que continúen explorando las realidades de este colectivo y su impacto en la transformación social. Además, la investigación se enmarca en el paradigma cualitativo que adopta un enfoque etnográfico, recopilando historias de vida que buscan visibilizar el liderazgo y la vocación de maestras rurales, quienes desempeñan un papel crucial en la reconstrucción de sus territorios y su tejido social. En tanto, el estudio revela la importancia de los saberes pedagógicos, la trascendencia cultural y la influencia de la dicotomía política en el contexto de las aulas rurales. Las maestras rurales emergen como agentes de transformación, capaces de generar líneas de acción que contribuyan a disminuir las brechas existentes en el sector rural colombiano. Se destaca la necesidad de reconocer el incremento de combustibles y valorar el rol multifacético de estas maestras, quienes, además de su labor docente, ejercen como madres y líderes comunitarias. Los hallazgos de esta investigación subrayan la importancia de implementar políticas públicas que atiendan las necesidades específicas de las maestras rurales, reconociendo sus aportes a la educación y al desarrollo de sus comunidades.

The study aims to understand the realities of rural teachers in three schools located in the provinces of Lengupá and Centro of the department of Boyacá, Colombia and their role in the transformation of their communities as mothers and professionals. Likewise, the need to promote research that continues exploring the realities of this group and its impact on social transformation is highlighted. Furthermore, the research is framed in the qualitative paradigm that adopts an ethnographic approach, collecting life stories that seek to make visible the leadership and vocation of rural teachers, who play a crucial role in the reconstruction of their territories and their social fabric. Meanwhile, the study reveals the importance of pedagogical knowledge, cultural significance and the influence of political dichotomy in the context of rural classrooms. Rural teachers emerge as agents of transformation, capable of generating lines of action that contribute to reducing the existing gaps in the Colombian rural sector. The need to recognize the increase in fuel costs and value the multifaceted role of these teachers is highlighted, who, in addition to their teaching work, act as mothers and community leaders. The findings of this research highlight the importance of implementing public policies that address the specific needs of rural teachers, recognizing their contributions to education and the development of their communities.
