Abstract

The objective of this essay is to analyze the importance of the academic competences of the teacher as a tool for the construction of the knowledge of the university student, based on a documentary investigation in which the contribution of different authors is considered, which mention that the competences can be understood as Manifest behaviors in work performance that allow a teacher to act effectively. Their appearance and stay in knowledge, desire, ability to achieve their goals, reasons why it is worth considering their qualified performance if they know how to estimate the consequences of the results of their actions. In this sense, it should be noted that the man of the future is projected with a high level of skills, considering knowledge as the main development factor. For this reason, its construction must respond to the demands of the 21st century society, since it must foster not only its reproduction but also its harmonious development, coexistence, present and future well-being for all its members. However, in what refers to university education, it is necessary to base professional quality not on an encyclopedic or pragmatic conception, but on competencies. El presente ensayo tiene por objetivo analizar la importancia de las competencias académicas del profesor como herramienta para la construcción del conocimiento del estudiante universitario, basándose en una investigación documental que considera el aporte de diferentes autores, los cuales mencionan que las competencias pueden entenderse como comportamientos manifiestos en el desempeño laboral que le permiten a un profesor actuar eficazmente. Su aparición y permanencia en el conocimiento, deseo, habilidad de lograr sus objetivos, razones por las cuales vale la pena considerar su desempeño cualificado si saben cómo estimar las consecuencias de los resultados de sus acciones. En ese sentido, cabe señalar que el hombre del futuro se proyecta con un alto nivel de competencias, considerándose el conocimiento como el principal factor de desarrollo. Por ello, su construcción debe responder a las exigencias de la sociedad del siglo XXI, pues ésta debe propiciar no sólo su reproducción sino su desenvolvimiento armónico, sí no la convivencia, bienestar presente y futuro para todos sus miembros. En la medida que los socializa, e integra a sus ideales, tradiciones, cosmovisión cultural.
