TEORÍA DE LA PRESUNCIÓN POLÍTICA: LOS (IN) ESPERADOS ALZAMIENTOS DEL 1º DE ENERO DE 1958

Abstract

Partiendo de un supuesto teórico sobre la sorpresa política y su impacto sistémico, abordamos el doble alzamiento militar del 1º de enero de 1958, reivindicando su carácter táctico, reducido estrictamente al ámbito castrense, aunque política, social y económicamente hubo condiciones para trascenderlo. Cobra importancia el papel de los servicios de (contra) inteligencia de entonces para distinguir entre los ruidos y las señales que, finalmente, condujeron al acontecimiento, relativizando el carácter inesperado que ostentó, y esbozando la decisiva importancia que adquirió la segunda sección del Estado Mayor General.

Starting from a theoretical assumption about political surprise and its systemic impact, we addressed the double military uprising of January 1, 1958, vindicating its tactical nature, strictly reduced to the military, although politically, socially and economically there were conditions to transcend it. The role of the (counter) intelligence services of that time becomes important to distinguish between the noises and the signals that, finally, led to the event, relativizing the unexpected character that it showed, and outlining the decisive importance that the second section of the General Staff acquired.
