Based on new ways of thinking and building a comprehensive understanding of human beings in the face of a new rationality of the organizational phenomenon, the cognitive progress of students at the University of Los Andes (ULA) requires a transformative change in volitional behavior. The general volitional intent of the research is to generate a theoretical epistemological construct of university volitional behavior as a transdisciplinary challenge in the faculty of medicine at the University of Los Andes. The theoretical support is based on Basarab Nicolescu's theory of transdisciplinarity and Edgar Morin's theory of complexity. From organizational studies with psychoanalytic theory of organizations and organizational sociology. Knowledge of volitional behavior through Kuhl's control theory, Vigotsky's sociohistorical and cultural approach, and Enrique Rojas' theoretical conceptualization of human will. The philosophical current supported by Gadamer's hermeneutics. The axioms of transdisciplinary methodology allowed for a broad understanding of reality. The findings encompassed the volitional phenomenon as a whole, integrating the factors that influence university students and the responsibility of the medical school to lead the promotion of transdisciplinary and authentic education committed to the well-being of society. This theoretical epistemological construct of volitional behavior emerges with the aim of overcoming the limits of classical logic, moving toward relational knowledge that is complex and constantly revising an educational system that connects the cognitive with the socio-emotional.
