Lograr que los estudiantes disciernan información de
calidad y generen aprendizajes significativos y
Achieving that students discern quality information
and generate meaningful and lasting learning is a
problem widely discussed and studied today. This
paper reviews the literature regarding the use of
PLEs, and reflects on the internal contradiction
between the student's ways of learning, their
technological competencies, and the need to have
metacognitive strategies related to learning methods.
It is evident the need to deepen, from the
pedagogical research, the neurological aspects of
greater impact, applicable to the design, creation and
evaluation processes of the PLEs.
