VESTIGIOS DE LA HISTORIA EN VENEZUELA. ANTONIO GUZMÁN BLANCO Y LA GRATUIDAD EN LA EDUCACIÓN. Hernández Madrid, José Gregorio La historia de Venezuela es rica no solo en los campos de batallas sino también en las luchas pensativas en los distintos terrenos políticos, económicos y sociales. De allí que surgen diferentes corrientes del pensamiento y visiones de país que le han dado un alto sitial a lo que representa la tierra del Libertador y de muchos próceres que lo acompañaron y los que siguieron durante distintos siglos. No obstante, también han surgido personalidades que, independientemente de la posición que la vida y el destino les han deparado, han dejado una marca, un camino, ora en lo positivo, ora en lo negativo. Hoy, toca hablar de un personaje venezolano, de una figura del siglo XIX quien por su recorrido y sus experiencias vividas al tocar otros horizontes, quiso establecer en su amado país lo que se conoció como la nueva sociedad, aun cuando se le imputan una serie de aspectos negativos en su mente, más ello no es óbice alguno para reconocer igualmente sus virtudes y su visión futurista, con énfasis en el ámbito educativo, esencia y sustento de una nación de envergadura. Se está hablando del presidente de Venezuela Antonio Guzmán Blanco. Este trabajo se enmarca dentro un enfoque cualitativo donde se describe las vivencias de los historiadores traídos como referentes a este trabajo para, de esta manera, describirlas y comprenderlas y así aplicar una Hermenéusis lógica a sus vivencias.; The history of Venezuela is rich not only in the fields of battles but also in the pensive struggles in the different political, economic and social fields. Se concluyó que la Universidad necesita fortalecer la autonomía del aprendizaje, enseñar aprender a aprenderpara ser profesionales autónomos y estratégicos en su futura labor profesional, lo cual conduce a brindarles las herramientas necesarias para ser competitivos en la sociedad del conocimiento.; This research seeks to unveil of revealing the role that self-learning in distance education mediated by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) represents for the University in order to be updated in a world of uncertainties marked by the change in the knowledge society. The method was based on the interpretive paradigm, through critical hermeneutics, applying the technique of thematic analysis of the relevant topics of the study. It was concluded that the University needs to strengthen the autonomy of learning, teaching learning to learn in order to be autonomous and strategic professionals in their future professional work, which leads to provide them with the necessary tools to be competitive in the knowledge society.

USO DE LAS REDES SOCIALES EN EL ÁMBITO EDUCATIVO UNIVERSITARIO CASO: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS DE LA EDUCACIÓN DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE CARABOBO Castillo González, Lisbeth Zuleyda Cada día es más frecuente el uso de las redes sociales como medio de comunicación para propagar noticas, fotos y otras novedades pero poco a poco se han venido incorporando recursos didácticos con elementos propios de estas redes en el ámbito educativo; el propósito de esta investigación es analizar el uso de las redes sociales en el ámbito educativo universitario. Caso: Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad de Carabobo. El estudio se enmarca en una investigación descriptiva con diseño de campo, una muestra no probabilista intencionada de 18 estudiantes cursantes de la asignatura Computación Aplicada a la Educación para el Trabajo Sub Área Comercial. Entre los resultados se evidencia que para los estudiantes representa una excelente estrategia de aprendizaje por su fácil acceso, es de su agrado y además por su interactividad. Se concluye que es una potente estrategia andragógica que debe ser usada con criterios bien definidos sobre todo en lo que se refiere a permisología ética de la información que allí se maneja.; Every day is more common to use social networks as a communication medium to propagate News, photos and other news but gradually teaching resources have been incorporated with elements of these networks in the field of education, the purpose of this research is analyze the challenges of Higher Education regarding the use of social networks of knowledge. Case: Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Carabobo. The study is part of a descriptive research design field, not probabilistic intentional sample of 18 students studying the subject Applied Computing Education for Work. Among the results we found that for students is an excellent learning strategy for its easy access to your liking and also for its interactivity. We conclude that it is a powerful strategy that should be used andragogical welldefined criteria especially in regard to information ethics permisología there driving.
