Visto en perspectiva histórica, este proceso de transformación social ha gradualmente rebasado el alcance de los marcos interpretativos que habitualmente permitían explicar y reconducir los desajustes sobrevenidos en el entorno universitario. En este trabajo interesa reflexionar acerca de la problemática cognitiva involucrada en la generación de productos académicos universitarios mediados por las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC), así como sobre la incidencia que hoy en día tiene lo tecnológico en actividades universitarias institucionalizadas tales como la docencia y la investigación en ciencias sociales. Por tanto, a través de este ensayo, se plantea la necesidad de investigar los sistemas de comunicación organizacional actuales, los obstáculos que se puedan presentar para mantenerla de forma eficaz y eficiente, haciendo énfasis en aquellos que han surgido o han tomado mayor fuerza en los últimos tiempos, debido a la pandemia del Coronavirus.
