Educación virtual de prótesis dental en tiempos de pandemia – Covid 19

Abstract

Cuando maestros y alumnos se preparaban para iniciar las clases, la declaración de la Emergencia Nacional por el COVID-19 detuvo el inicio del año escolar 2020. Estudiantes de diversas regiones tuvieron que adaptarse a este cambio desde una educación tradicional hacia una nueva educación virtual; asimismo los maestros que no estaban preparados para este cambio abrupto debieron enfrentar el reto de la enseñanza virtual, por ello mediante la revisión y el análisis de la información utilizando el método de análisis síntesis, se ha logrado recopilar los aportes de las principales investigaciones y se llega a la conclusión que la educación virtual en prótesis dental está utilizando una variedad de recursos digitales, esto acompañado de una adecuada estrategia de enseñanza son una excelente alternativa, ello debe considerar las video conferencias en vivo donde el docente explique y realice los procedimientos técnicos en la elaboración de aparatos protésicos, así como las plataformas virtuales, los repositorios de casos con fotografías, entrevistas y grabaciones, para la posterior discusión de estos en escenarios grupales online. También se pueden incluir videos demostrativos elaborados por el propio docente en base a su experiencia laboral, sobre ciertos procedimientos de laboratorio
