Diagnóstico de las unidades productivas en el sector piscícola de Santander (Colombia)

Abstract

El estudio permitió establecer las condiciones actuales de las unidades productivas piscícolas en zonas rurales de 4 municipios de Santander (Colombia) donde se concentra esta actividad. La investigación es de tipo cuantitativo y cualitativo, descriptivo y exploratorio; Se aplicó una encuesta a 53 piscicultores propietarios o administradores de unidades productivas, y 8 entrevistas a representantes del estado. En los resultados se identificaron las características económicas y tecnológicas de la población objeto del estudio, las fortalezas, debilidades, y dificultades del sector.

The study allowed to establish the current conditions of fish production units in rural areas of 4 municipalities of Santander (Colombia) where this activity is concentrated. The research is quantitative and qualitative, descriptive and exploratory; A survey was applied to 53 fish farmer owners or managers of productive units, and 8 interviews to representatives of the state. The results identified the economic and technological characteristics of the population under study, the strengths, weaknesses, and difficulties of the sector.
