Influencia de las expectativas del docente sobre el desempeño académico de sus estudiantes: Caso de Carchi, Ecuador

Abstract

Este estudio parte de una investigación desarrollada en la provincia de Carchi - Ecuador en instituciones educativas fiscales que obtuvieron altos puntajes académicos en las pruebas “Ser Estudiante” (INEVAL, 2015). Se analizaron las expectativas de los docentes y su influencia en el desempeño académico de sus estudiantes. La metodología utilizada fue cualitativa - descriptiva. Los resultados muestran que las escuelas con mayor puntaje se preocupan por la formación axiológica y académica de sus estudiantes, lo cual pudiera ser un rasgo distintivo para la obtención de buenas calificaciones.

This study is based on research carried out in the province of Carchi - Ecuador in fiscal educational institutions that obtained high academic scores in the "Being a Student" test (INEVAL, 2015). The expectations of the teachers and their influence on the academic performance of their students were analyzed. The methodology used was qualitative-descriptive. The results show that the schools with the highest scores are concerned with the axiological and academic training of their students, which could be a distinctive feature for obtaining good grades.
