La reseña científica venezolana: hacia un abordaje multidimensional

Abstract

La reseña científica es un género discursivo cuya condición sine qua nom es la de informar y valorar positiva o negativamente un texto fuente. Su medio de aparición principal es en revistas especializadas, por lo que sus funcionales textuales y lingüísticas se ajustan al contexto de aparición. En este sentido, el estudio se sustenta con los planteamientos de Mostacero (2004a, 2004b), Pinto (2010) y Navarro (2011). Asimismo, para caracterizarla, desde el plano multidimensional, se aplica el modelo de Heinemann y Viehweger (1991), el cual se completa con los hallazgos de Díaz (2013). Por tanto, la investigación es descriptiva-explicativa. Entre las conclusiones se tiene que es una actividad discursiva relativamente breve, de estructura tripartita, donde predomina la exposición, descripción y argumentación y se tiende a la sobrevaloración.

The scientific review is a discursive genre whose condition sine qua nom is to inform and value positively or negatively a source text. Its main means of appearance is in specialized journals, so that its textual and linguistic functionalities fit the context of appearance. In this sense, the study is supported by the approaches of Mostacero (2004a, 2004b), Pinto (2010) and Navarro (2011). Also, to characterize it, from the multidimensional plane, the Heinemann and Viehweger (1991) model is applied, which is completed with the findings of Diaz (2013). Therefore, the research is descriptiveexplanatory. Among the conclusions is that it is a relatively brief discursive activity, with a tripartite structure, where exposure, description and argument predominate, and overestimation tends to occur.
