dc.descriptionThe general objective of the research was to describe extracurricular activities and the qualitative improvement of education. The researchers approached the methodology from the positivist paradigm and quantitative perspective, supported by a descriptive technique with a non-experimental documentary-bibliographic design. They proceeded to the documentary review of scientific journals, papers, documents, statistical data, texts and theses, linked to the research topic, which constituted the study population, using the deductive method by the researchers, as well as the technique of content analysis, to scrutinize the documents and obtain the most relevant contents and ideas. It is concluded that extracurricular activities are a set of actions that contribute to the qualitative improvement of students at all levels of education, since they complement the teaching-learning process in a comprehensive manner, supported by other areas such as artistic, sports, cultural and social. This guarantees a complementary education.en-US
dc.descriptionEl objetivo general de la investigación fue describir las actividades extracurriculares y el mejoramiento cualitativo de la educación. Los investigadores se plantearon la metodología desde el paradigma positivista y perspectiva cuantitativa, se apoya en una técnica descriptiva con diseño documental-bibliográfico no experimental. Procediendo a la revisión documental de revistas científicas, trabajos, documentos, datos estadísticos, textos y tesis, vinculados al tema investigativo, lo que constituyó la población de estudio, empleándose el método deductivo por parte de los investigadores, así como la técnica de análisis de contenido, para escudriñar los documentos y obtener los contenidos e ideas más relevantes. Se concluye que, las actividades extracurriculares son un conjunto de acciones que contribuyen en el mejoramiento cualitativo de los estudiantes en todos los niveles de formación, puesto que complementa el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de manera integral, apoyándose en otras áreas como las artísticas, deportivas, culturales y sociales. Lo cual garantiza una educación complementaria.es-ES
