Análisis de género en un corpus de resúmenes de artículos de investigación en educación y psicología

Abstract

El resumen del artículo de investigación es un texto que condensa los objetivos del trabajo, la metodología, los resultados y conclusiones del estudio. Reproduce la estructura retórica del artículo, además de dar cuenta del modo en el que las disciplinas organizan y configuran el marco epistémico, metodológico, de expresión y discusión de los hallazgos. La presente investigación tiene como propósito caracterizar el esquema de movidas retóricas de los resúmenes de artículos de investigación (AI) en el campo de la psicología y la educación, desde la perspectiva del análisis de género (Hyland, 2000). El corpus está constituido por 58 resúmenes escritos en español. Entre los hallazgos destacamos que la estructura de movida que presenta el mayor número de ocurrencia es la estructura M2, M3, M4, M5 con el 27,59%, le sigue la estructura M2, M3, M4 con un 15,52% y finalmente, la estructura M1, M2, M3, M4 que corresponde al 12,07% del total de los resúmenes analizados en este trabajo. Solo en cinco resúmenes hallamos la estructura que incluye las cinco movidas (M1, M2, M3, M4, M5), lo que representa el 8,62%. De igual modo encontramos otras estructuras que podríamos considerar como variantes. Se concluye que para la construcción de un resumen de AI en español en el corpus estudiado solo se requieren tres movidas principales (M2, M3 y M4) que dan cuenta de los objetivos, metodología y resultados, aspectos esenciales en la construcción de un resumen; no obstante, no está muy claro el paso de una movida a otra, ya que en algunos casos se prescinde de la estructura nominal o verbal prototípica.

The abstract of a research article (RA) is a text that summarizes the objectives, methodology, results and conclusions of the study. It reproduces the rhetorical structure of the article, in addition to give an account of the way in which the disciplines organize and configure the epistemic, methodological, expression and result discussion framework. This research aims to characterize the scheme of rhetorical movements in the abstracts of research articles in the field of psychology and education, from the perspective of gender analysis (Hyland, 2000). The corpus consists of 58 summaries written in Spanish. Among the findings, we highlight that the movement structure that shows the highest number of occurrences is the structure M2, M3, M4, M5 with 27.59%, followed by the structure M2, M3, M4 with 15.52% and finally, the structure M1, M2, M3, M4 which corresponds to 12.07% of the total of the abstracts analyzed in this work. Only in five summaries we found the structure that includes the five steps (M1, M2, M3, M4, M5), which represents 8.62%. In the same way we find other structures that we could consider as variants. We conclude that for the construction of a RA abstract in Spanish and in the studied fields only three main moves are required (M2, M3 and M4) that account for the objectives, methodology and results, essential aspects in the construction of a summary. However, the passage from one move to another is not very clear, since in some cases the prototypical nominal or verbal structure is dispensed with.
