Caminando la huella ancestral africana: “aportes al estudio de la identidad cultural afrovenezolana”

Abstract

Se presentan algunos aportes para el reconocimiento de la identidad cultural afrovenezolana, la cual ha creado una amalgama de expresiones para conformar un producto social único y excepcional. Se partirá de una investigación documental desde los aportes teóricos de Miguel Acosta Saignes y Esteban Emilio Mosonyi para comprender los procesos históricos invisibilizados de los grupos subalternos, el rescate de la memoria y herencia en la diversidad y complejidad de nuestro devenir histórico. Además, se recrearán las contribuciones con los relatos de Juan Pablo Sojo en su novela Nochebuena Negra, que representa la huella africana en los cacaotales barloventeños

This article presents some contributions for the recognition of the Afro-Venezuelan cultural identity, which has created an amalgam of expressions to form a unique and exceptional social product. It will be based on a documentary investigation from the theoretical contributions of Miguel Acosta Saignes and Esteban Emilio Mosonyi to understand the invisible historical processes of subordinate groups, the rescue of memory and inheritance in the diversity and complexity of our historical evolution. In addition, the contributions will be recreated with the stories of Juan Pablo Sojo in his novel Nochebuena Negra, which represents the African footprint in the Barloventeño cacao plantations
