Percepción, ceguera y conciencia crítica

Abstract

El trabajo reflexiona sobre la condición de ser de límite del humano ser. Sobre su apetencia de comprensión y de sentido, sobre sus cegueras y auto cegueras. Se interrogan los límites de normalidad y ceguera ante la percepción, las delimitaciones del orden y el poder, sus imposiciones de jerarquías y sus diversas maneras de la relación de amo y esclavo. Se interroga la genealogía como el más inmediato diseño de esas relaciones, y las exigencias de identidad y de lenguaje asertivo que la legitimación del Poder entraña. Se plantea el pasaje a la modernidad y el valor de la libertad como un proceso fundamental de la cultura; pasaje, primero, a la “modernidad optimista” que tiene sus figuras principales en Descartes y Newton, en intencionalidades de causalidades y certeza y en promesas de comprensión; y la “modernidad crítica” que se apropia de las nociones de la duda, de la pregunta, de la conjetura, en valoraciones de la ambigüedad y en nueva física desde donde reflota la paradoja. Modernidad que se configura en el pensamiento crítico y en la estética. Quizás el comienzo de una nueva percepción. Se contrasta el sistema de la “Democracia” que emerge de la modernidad, y las estructuras autoritarias de Poder, por encima de la ley.

The text reflects on the limiting condition of the human being. On its desire for understanding and meaning, on its blindness and self-blindness. The limits of normality and blindness before perception are questioned, as well as the boundaries of order and power, their impositions of hierarchies, and their various ways of master-slave relationship. The genealogy is examined as the most immediate design of these relationships, and the demands for identity and assertive language that the legitimization of power entails. The transition to modernity and the value of freedom as a fundamental process of culture is raised; passage, firstly, to the “optimistic modernity” that has its main figures in Descartes and Newton, in intentionalities of causalities and in certainty, and promises of understanding; and the “critical modernity” that appropriates the notions of doubt, questioning, conjecture, valuing ambiguity, and in new physics from which paradox reemerges. Modernity that takes shape in critical thinking and aesthetics. Perhaps the beginning of a new perception. The system of “Democracy” that emerges from modernity is contrasted to authoritarian power structurea, above the law.
