Incisiones. Sobre la obra de Félix Royett

Abstract

A partir de un rumbo existencialista, dejaremos de lado la propuesta pictórica del artista venezolano Félix Royett a fin de encauzarnos en su trabajo como grabador, es decir, saldremos de la flagelación de los lienzos y nos imbuimos en las incisiones, los cortes sobre la superficie a grabar cuyos cantiles son las entradas para indagar a partir de su existencia, surcar su insistencia expresiva como horadaciones que pretenden internarse y escuchar las cavernas del alma, manifestadas en coloraciones brunas, resonancias sombrías de la figura pura.

Starting from an existentialist course, we will leave aside the pictorial proposal of the Venezuelan artist Félix Royett in order to channel ourselves into his work as an engraver, that is, we will leave the flagellation of the canvases and imbue ourselves with the incisions, the cuts on the surface to record whose cliffs are the entrances to investigate from its existence, to furrow its expressive insistence as perforations that seek to penetrate and listen to the caverns of the soul, manifested in dark colorations, dark resonances of the pure figure.
