Influencia de la salud mental en la calidad de vida de pacientes crónicos

Abstract

Objetivo: analizar la influencia de la salud mental en la calidad de vida de pacientes crónicos en el Hospital IESS-Ambato. Método: Descriptiva observacional. Resultados: Cuando se les preguntó si su calidad de vida había disminuido desde el diagnóstico de su enfermedad crónica, el 60% respondió afirmativamente y el 40% negativamente. Conclusión: Los pacientes crónicos reportaron altos niveles de estrés, ansiedad y depresión, lo que afecta negativamente su calidad de vida y su capacidad para manejar su enfermedad. Por lo tanto, se recomienda implementar programas de intervención psicosocial que aborden estas necesidades y promuevan la salud mental de los pacientes crónicos.
