La herencia del romanticismo en la primera etapa de la bioética

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como finalidad hacer el intento de repensar las bases de lo que actualmente se conoce como Bioética. El pastor, filósofo y educador Fritz Jahr en 1927, publica su artículo Bio-ética: una perspectiva de la relación ética de los seres humanos con los animales y las plantas, y regresar a él permite desentrañar el diálogo que establece con la tradición filosófica y en particular con el Romanticismo; desarrollar algunos de los elementos de esta herencia permite complejizar el sentido del pensamiento de Jahr. Sin pretender exhaustividad, el objetivo de este artículo es bosquejar una ruta que permita indagar en esta relación, para así repensar las posibilidades filosóficas de la bioética, ante el problema de la relación ética entre el viviente humano y lo no humano.

The purpose of this work is to attempt to rethink the bases of what is currently known as Bioethics. In 1927, the pastor, philosopher and educator Fritz Jahr published his article Bio-ethics: a perspective on the ethical relationship of human beings with animals and plants, and returning to it allows us to unravel the dialogue he establishes with the philosophical tradition and particularly with Romanticism; Developing some of the elements of this heritage makes it possible to make the meaning of Jahr's thought more complex. Without claiming exhaustiveness, the objective of this article is to outline a route that allows us to investigate this relationship, in order to rethink the philosophical possibilities of bioethics, faced with the problem of the ethical relationship between the human being and the non-human.
