La gerontogogía en Venezuela: una forma de innovación educativa

Abstract

La formación académica del adulto mayor en Venezuela implica el abordaje de la gerontogogía: sub-rama emergente de la educación que responde al cuestionamiento de si puede o no ser considerada una forma de innovación educativa, al ofrecer una formación adecuada a las inquietudes, ritmo y posibilidades de aprendizaje del geronte. Este ensayo se fundamenta parcialmente en el trabajo doctoral: Educación Universitaria para el Adulto Mayor bajo la visión innovadora del hecho socioeducativo en Venezuela: UNEFA-2013, cuyo objetivo fue estudiar por medio de una metodología hermenéutica esta posibilidad académica en el contexto educativo venezolano. Entre las reflexiones finales se interpretó la incidencia en esta iniciativa educativa de indicadores como transición demográfica, habilidades cognitivas de reserva del senescente, hitos históricos y aspectos filosóficos/ legales.

The academic training of the elderly in Venezuela implies the approach of gerontogogy: emerging sub-branch of education that responds to the questioning of itself: may or may not be considered a form of educational innovation ?, by offering adequate training to the concerns , rhythm and learning possibilities of the geronte. This essay is partially based on the doctoral work: University Education for the Elderly under the innovative vision of the socioeducational event in Venezuela: UNEFA-2013, whose objective was to study this academic possibility through a hermeneutical methodology in the Venezuelan educational context. Among the final reflections, the impact on this educational initiative of indicators such as demographic transition, cognitive reserve skills of the senescent, historical milestones and philosophical / legal aspects were interpreted.
