Ética y plagio en investigación. Las dos caras opuestas de la realidad científica

Abstract

El presente escrito tipo ensayo, tiene por intención, analizar la ética y el plagio en investigación, a fin de identificar las dos caras opuestas de la realidad científica y para ello, se precisa describirla ética en el proceso investigativo; precisar la presencia del plagio en las investigaciones y reflexionar sobre el derecho de los autores en la redacción de textos científicos. El abordaje del fenómeno se enmarcó desde el enfoque cualitativo hermenéutico documental, partiendo del diseño bibliográfico descriptivo. Se describen también algunas nociones teóricas referentes a la ética en investigación y consejos para la buena conducta científica, derechos de autor y un aporte conclusivo sobre este tema. Esta discusión epistémica; permitió plantear en términos generales que para evitar el plagio en investigaciones es importante tener ética y poner en práctica la citación y referencias, para asegurarse de otorgar el crédito a las fuentes utilizadas; así como también, que los valores éticos en investigación, proveen una guía para implantar en la gestión del conocimiento un enfoque basado en valores tanto personales como morales para permitirle a quienes incurren en el proceso, guiar el rigor científico e intelectual a fin de generar nuevos conocimientos, contribuyendo al logro de una ética consustanciada en principios morales y sociales en beneficio de la ciencia. Como conclusión, se plantea que existen diversas barreras que no conducen al desarrollo del proceso científico, debido a ciertos factores latentes en el sistema, que originan diversas problemáticas al momento de obtener el conocimiento, socavando la integridad de la investigación o trabajo intelectual; al igual, tenemos que respetar la propiedad intelectual y darles el crédito debido a los autores, citando debidamente sus aportes; asimismo, necesitamos conocer de la normativa legal vigente que rige la propiedad intelectual.

This essay-type writing aims to analyze ethics and plagiarism in research in order to identify the two opposite sides of scientific reality and for this, it is necessary to describe ethics in the research process; to specify the presence of plagiarism in research and to reflect on the rights of authors in the writing of scientific texts. The approach to the phenomenon was framed from the qualitative hermeneutic documentary approach, based on the descriptive bibliographic design. The article also describes some theoretical notions regarding ethics in research and advice for good scientific conduct, copyright and a concluding contribution on this topic. This epistemic discussion allowed us to state in general terms that to avoid plagiarism in research it is important to have ethics and to put into practice citation and references, to ensure that credit is given to the sources used; as well as that ethical values in research provide a guide to implement in knowledge management an approach based on both personal and moral values, allowing those who engage in the process to guide scientific and intellectual rigor in order to generate new knowledge, contributing to the achievement of an ethic based on moral and social principles for the benefit of science. In conclusion, it is stated that there are various barriers that do not allow the proper development of the scientific process to be followed in all research, due to certain latent factors in the system, which give rise to various problems at the time of obtaining knowledge, undermining the integrity of research or intellectual work; likewise, we must respect intellectual property and give due credit to the authors, properly citing their contributions; we also need to be aware of the current legal regulations that govern intellectual property.
