Abstract

En este ensayo se emprenderá un recorrido sobre algunos conceptos propuestos a lo largo de la obra de Pablo Freire. Se buscará reflexionar sobre las condiciones psicológicas que han sido necesarias en el proceso colonizador europeo sobre los países de América Latina. A lo largo de todo el texto se realizarán interrogantes que posibiliten pensar en nuevos modos de accionar como sujetos y colectivos pertenecientes a Latinoamérica para lograr la emancipación como región. Por último, se hará hincapié en la importancia que conlleva problematizar la educación y los modelos educativos importados desde Europa.

This essay offers an exploration of some concepts developed throughout Pablo Freire’s work. It aims at reflecting on the psychological conditions that were necessary to carry out the European colonization process in Latin Americancountries. Throughout the text, questions will be posed in order to think about new ways of acting as subjects and collectives belonging to Latin America to achieve emancipation as a region. Finally, emphasis will be placed on the importance of problematizing education and the educational models imported from Europe.
