This article aims to reclaim spirituality and place it outside the canons of modern theology, where universality, linear progress, reason, and colonization are key to its realization. In these lines, we seek to promote a reflection on eco-spirituality in Latin America and the Caribbean as a force that guides community life. The focus of this reflection is to reclaim eco-spirituality as a way of living deeply rooted in how we relate to nature, the community, and the sacred. Specifically, I wish to weave together the rich spiritual experience that resonates in the Latin American continent, as captured by Pedro Casaldáliga in his book "Spirituality of Liberation", alongside the Diploma in Latin American and Caribbean Thought: This article aims to reclaim spirituality and place it outside the canons of modern theology, where universality, linear progress, reason, and colonization are key to its realization.
