Pertinencia del centro regional de investigación y estudios turísticos, Como estrategia para fortalecer la gestión universitaria

Abstract

El siguiente avance investigativo, surge como resultado de los estudios que se están realizando para la propuesta del “Centro Regional de Investigación y Estudios Turísticos” (CRIET), en la Universidad Nacional Experimental Politécnica de la Fuerza Armada Nacional, Núcleo Mérida. Está enmarcada en una investigación cualitativa que permite la interacción con los sujetos de estudio, la convivencia con el entorno. Tiene como objetivo dar al turismo un enfoque investigativo en las instituciones de educación universitaria, que imparten los estudios de turismo a nivel de pregrado y postgrado. En la actualidad algunas universidades no conciben el turismo como una investigación, se dedican solo a realizar estudios del perfil del turista, mercadeo, rutas turísticas entre otras. Es por esto que existe la necesidad de plantearnos un nuevo paradigma que incluye la investigación con el fin de fortalecer la investigación turística. El CRIET se proyecta como una unidad pluridisciplinaria, enfocada a la investigación turística, respecto al uso del tiempo libre y sus múltiples direcciones. Concebir al turismo como objeto de estudio transdisciplinar, permitirá la reflexión crítica interpretativa en nuestros investigadores. Es por esto que las universidades deben potenciar todas las estrategias que fortalezcan el desarrollo investigativo del turismo importante para el desarrollo de nuestro país.

The following investigative advance arises as a result of the studies that are being carried out for the proposal of the "Regional Center for Research and Tourism Studies (CRIET), at the National Experimental Polytechnic University of the National Armed Forces, Nucleus Mérida. It is framed in qualitative research that allows interaction with the study subjects, coexistence with the environment. Its objective is to give tourism an investigative approach in university education institutions, which teach tourism studies at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At present, some universities do not conceive of tourism as research, they are dedicated only to carrying out a study of the tourist profile, marketing, tourist routes, among others. This is why there is a need to consider a new paradigm that includes research in order to strengthen tourism research. The CRIET is projected as a multidisciplinary unit, focused on tourism research, regarding the use of free time and its multiple directions. Conceiving tourism as an object of transdisciplinary study will allow our researchers to reflect critically on interpretation. This is why the universities must promote all the strategies that strengthen the investigative development of tourism, which is important for the development of our country.
