La formación de investigadores: materia pendiente en las Universidades venezolanas

Abstract

El presente abordaje teórico pretende atraer el interés de quienes gobiernan la universidad, para retomar la oferta que, desde la misión, la compromete sobre el ¿qué? y el ¿quién?, en el fomento de la cultura de investigación. Vinculando las funciones de docencia, investigación, producción y divulgación, se presta atención al sistema científico y tecnológico que gestiona la investigación, lo que debería incluir el acompañamiento y atención al investigador, así como su formación y estímulo. El recorrido teórico parte de una mirada a la universidad, la cual en su complejidad involucra la sociedad en su conjunto, destacando la atención a la importancia de educar, y en su seno promover la investigación, formar investigadores y generar nuevos conocimientos, contribuyendo al saber y al desarrollo social, científico y tecnológico. La revisión de materiales y la reflexión sobre los mismos concluye en que la formación de investigadores sigue estando inconclusa en la universidad, sí como la producción y generación de nuevos conocimientos.

The present theoretical approach aims to attract interest to resume the offer that the mission commits the university to about what? and the who? in promoting the research culture. Linking the functions of teaching, research, production and dissemination, attention is paid to the scientific and technological system that manages the research, which should include support and attention to the researcher, as well as their training and encouragement. The theoretical journey starts from a look at the university, which in its complexity involves society as a whole, highlighting the importance of educating, and promoting research, training researchers and generating new knowledge, contributing to knowledge and to social, scientific and technological development. The review of materials and the reflection on them concludes that the training of researchers remains unfinished at the university, as well as the production and generation of new knowledge.
