Cuando el garante de la Constitución se convierte en su mayor enemigo

Abstract

Este estudio tiene por objeto comentar el libro del profesor Allan R. Brewer-Carías, sobre “La dictadura judicial y la perversión del Estado de Derecho. El juez constitucional y la destrucción de la democracia en Venezuela,” editada en Madrid, en 2017, analizando la función de los Jueces Constitucionales como garantes de la Constitución y los problemas que derivan cuando se convierten en agentes para la justificación de su violación.

The purpose of this study is to comment the book of Professor Allan R. Brewer-Carías, on “The Judicial Dictatorship and the Perversion of the Rule of Law. The constitutional judge and the destruction of democracy in Venezuela,” published in Madrid, in 2017, analyzing the role of Constitutional Judges as guarantors of the Constitution and the problems that arise when they become agents for the justification of its violation.
