Innovación sistémica en la investigación con trascendencia social en la educación superior en Colombia

Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo estudiar la innovación sistémica en la investigación con trascendencia social en la educación superior en Colombia. Para cumplir con este propósito, se realizó una investigación en el marco del enfoque epistémico positivista, dentro del paradigma cuantitativo, con un tipo de investigación descriptiva; teniendo como fuente de información el ranking de universidades llevado por Scimago Insttitute Ranking (SIR) años 2022 y 2023. Asimismo, el análisis de los resultados se realizó mediante un estudio comparativode la clasificación de las universidades colombianas ubicadas en el top-20 y las instituciones de educación superior en América Latina y el mundo referidas a la investigación e innovación sistémica. Como resultado se tuvo que en las universidades colombianas se aprecia una innovación sistémica, pero su producción científica medianamente deficiente en cuanto a la innovación y trascendencia social la coloca en una ubicación baja con respecto al subcontinente y el planeta. En conclusión, la innovación sistémica se aprecia para la investigación y trascendencia social en las universidades colombianas, pero los cambios producidos son medianamente significativos

The objective of this research was to study systemic innovation in research with social significance in higher education in Colombia. To fulfill this purpose, an investigation was carried out within the framework of the positivist epistemic approach, within the quantitative paradigm, with a type of descriptive investigation; having as a source of information the ranking of universities carried out by the Scimago Institute Ranking (SIR) years 2022 and 2023. Likewise, the analysis of the results was carried out through a comparative study of the classification of the Colombian universities located in the top-20 and the higher education institutions in Latin America and the world related to systemic research and innovation. As a result, a systemic innovation was appreciated in Colombian universities, but its moderately deficient scientific production in terms of innovation and social significance places it in a low position with respect to the subcontinent and the planet. In conclusion, systemic innovation is appreciated for research and social significance in Colombian universities, but the changes produced are moderately significant.
