La convivencia escolar como fenómeno socio-jurídico. Estudio de caso: Escuela Técnica Industrial San José Obrero (ETI-SJO) Fe y Alegría – Antímano (Municipio Libertador, Distrito Capital, Venezuela)

Abstract

Se diseñó una metodología mixta para la exploración de algunas subcategorías del constructo Convivencia Escolar, 31 alumnos respondieron una escala tipo Likert yse hicieron entrevistas semi-estructuradas a 6 estudiantes y 8 adultos mediante un muestreo propositivo.Se concluyó que tienen nociones claras y básicas acerca de lo que es la Convivencia Escolar, incluyendo la noción de conflicto. La realización de actividades que favorecen la convivencia se valora como una fortaleza, pero pueden diversificarse. El conocimiento de los Acuerdos de Convivencia, de la normativa relacionada con la materia y la participación estudiantil pueden ser mejorados. La ocasión de participar es reconocida como tal, pero no es aprovechada por aspectos motivacionales y de orden intrapsíquico de los adolescentes. Se confirma que durante la pandemia no es posible hablar Convivencia Escolar, más allá del cumplimiento de responsabilidades académicas.

A mixed methodology was designedfor the exploration of some subcategories of the School Cohabitation idea, 31 students responded to a Likert-type scale survey and semi-structured interviews were conducted with 6 students and 8 adults through propositional sampling. It was concluded thatparticipants have clear and basic notions about what School Cohabitation is, including the notion of conflict. The implementation of activities that favor cohabitation is valued as a strength, but they can be diversified. The information about Cohabitation Agreements and regulations related to the matter, as well as student participation can be improved. Respondants recognized the existence of opportunities for participation that are not exploited due to motivational and intrapsychic factors of adolescents. It is confirmed that during the pandemic it is not possible to talk about School Cohabitation, beyond the fulfillment of academic responsibilities.
