Las exequias reales en Segovia entre los siglos XVI-XVII: Una base de estudio

Abstract

Este trabajo de investigación aborda el estudio de las exequias reales celebradas en el municipio de Segovia entre los siglos XVI y XVII. Desde una perspectiva documental y crítica, se propone establecer una base de estudio para futuras investigaciones sobre este tema. Se analizarán cuestiones relacionadas con los procedimientos, protocolos y organización ceremonial, así como el itinerario de las procesiones y la asignación de asientos en las iglesias para el sermón fúnebre. Además, se abordarán otras cuestiones menos estudiadas por la historiografía, como el problema de las financiaciones y los conflictos generados durante su proceso.

This research work addresses the study of royal funerals held in the Segovian municipality between the 16th and 17th centuries. From a documentary and critical perspective, it is intended to propose a basic study for future research on this topic. Topics related to procedures, protocols and ceremonial organization will be discussed. The itinerary of the processions, the question of seats in the churches for the funeral sermon. Other issues less studied by historiography such as the problem of financing and the conflicts generated during its process.
