“El museo ha muerto”. Museo vs. Cementerios museables

Abstract

En el tiempo se ha compartido la idea del museo como simple depósito de materiales y centros de investigación reservado para la cultura. Sin embargo, el devenir de la actualidad ha conllevado a esta institución a una confusión de lo que es y, deja de ser. Proponiendo un esquema investigativo de múltiples interpretaciones de las prácticas y funciones museales dentro y fuera de los espacios en blanco (el museo), a través del estudio, descripción y análisis de los términos museales: musealización, museización y valoración o puesta en valor, lo cual se consideran como elementos que integran la estética arquitectónica, la cotidianidad social, lecturas históricas, evolutivas y destructivas de los bienes culturales tangibles e intangibles hacia el momento mori en el cual el museo ha muerto en sus variantes y propósitos socio-culturales. Desde el paradigma interpretativo, con un enfoque cualitativo, permite la indagación e interpretación de los bienes con valor patrimonial y su espacio urbano, lo cual trasciende los límites tangibles e intangibles de la institución museo en la contemporaneidad. Abriendo la posibilidad de una dialéctica de otros espacios igualmente museables, como lo ha sido la “ciudad de los vivos hacia la ciudad de los muertos”: el cementerio/camposantos, que bajo su condición cultural y patrimonial ha dado como resultado de la realidad histórica y su espacio funerario, su colección museable y el sistema de valoración que enmarca la identidad y memoria individual y colectiva; principios que también forman parte de las funciones museables: conservación, protección, investigación, gestión y difusión.

Over time, the idea of the museum as a simple deposit of materials and research centers reserved for culture has been shared. However, the evolution of the present has led this institution to a confusion of what it is and what it ceases to be. Proposing an investigative scheme of multiple interpretations of museum practices and functions inside and outside the blank spaces (the museum), through the study, description and analysis of museum terms: musealization, museization and valuation or enhancement, what which are considered as elements that integrate architectural aesthetics, social everyday life, historical, evolutionary and destructive readings of tangible and intangible cultural assets towards the mori moment in which the museum has died in its variants and socio-cultural purposes. From the interpretive paradigm, with a qualitative approach, allows the investigation and interpretation of assets with patrimonial value and their urban space, which transcends the tangible and intangible limits of the museum institution in contemporary times. Opening the possibility of a dialectic of other equally museum spaces, such as the “city of the living towards the city of the dead”: the cementery / graveyards, which under its cultural and patrimonial condition has resulted in the historical reality and its funerary space, its museum collection and the valuation system that frames individual and collective identity and memory; Principles that are also part of the museum functions: conservation, protection, research, management and dissemination.
