La Gestión urbana sostenible: Perspectivas para una ciudad posible en el marco de la teoría institucional

Abstract

Ciudad y Organización, son términos asumidos en este ensayo para identificar vinculaciones entre gestión urbana y gestión administrativa, en el marco de teorías organizacionales, específicamente la institucional y el enfoque de legitimidad. El Estado burocrático, gestiona la ciudad, convirtiéndose en elemento común entre la teoría urbana y la institucional. Asumiendo esta premisa, las estructuras municipales tendrían que adaptarse a estos contextos mediante una relectura de ambas teorías en un entorno transdisciplinario. La gestión urbana sustentable, vinculada a procesos estratégicos institucionales hace que las ciudades sean el espacio de adaptación a dichos cambios y a las complejidades. La capacidad de gestionarlas, debe enmarcarse en teorías urbanas y organizacionales divergentes que evolucionen adaptándose entre sí, tal vez el reto está en el cómo hacerlo, quedando así planteado una agenda para un protocolo de investigación, con la finalidad de comprender por qué la gestión organizacional ha trascendido al ámbito urbano para hoy en día hablar de gestión estratégica para ciudades sostenibles
