Mapeando o perfil de jovens futuros empreendedores da Baixada Fluminense, Rio Janeiro, Brasil, usando análise de correlação matemática

Abstract

Este artigo tem o objetivo de mapear o perfil dos futuros empreendedores da Baixada Fluminense, calculando o nível de correlação entre diversas características destas pessoas, procurando por padrões de gênero, idade, escolaridade etc. A finalidade é fornecer subsídios às decisões em políticas públicas pró-empreendedorismo na região. Para tanto foi feita uma pesquisa de campo com voluntários jovens na faixa etária de 18 e 24 anos, e coletados dados por meio de entrevistas e da aplicação de questionários, utilizando também a escala de Likert. Os resultados foram tratados com ferramentas estatísticas descritivas, e demonstraram que apesar da taxa de empreendedorismo total (TTE) no Brasil entre os jovens ser elevada, há evidência da falta de conhecimentos e preparo destes jovens. Este handicap é bem mais significativo entre os homens que em mulheres que pretendem empreender, e sugere-se uma atenção particular em políticas públicas no campo de treinamento e linhas financeiras dos jovens.

This article aims to map the profile of the future entrepreneurs of the Baixada Fluminense, calculating the level of correlation between various characteristics of these people, looking for patterns of gender, age, education, etc. The purpose is to provide subsidies for pro-entrepreneurship public policy decisions in the region. For this purpose, a field research was carried out with young volunteers in the age group of 18 and 24 years old, and data was collected through interviews and the application of questionnaires, also using the Likert Scale. The results were treated with descriptive statistical tools, and demonstrated that although the rate of total entrepreneurship (TTE) in Brazil among young people is high, there is evidence of the lack of knowledge and training of these young people. This handicap is much more significant among men than women who intend to undertake, and it is suggested that particular attention be paid to public policies in the training field and financial lines of young people.
