Pensamiento político de juan xxiii sobre el orden internacional del siglo xx

Abstract

Por muchas razones como la lucides de su pensamiento político con algún impacto en el orden internacional de su época, o su liderazgo y carisma, el papa Juan XXIII fue uno de los actores políticos más destacados del siglo XX. En este orden de ideas, el presenta artículo interpreta a grandes rasgos los planteamientos más significativos del pensamiento político de este hombre insigne, con énfasis especial en su visión del orden internacional que le toco vivir como cabeza de la iglesia católica. En lo metodológico se empleó una metodología de base documental. Todo permite concluir que la iglesia católica desempañó un rol destacado en el mundo como agente de paz, con manifiesta capacidad en la mediación y resolución de conflictos, incluso en sociedades no cristianas. Además, la iglesia postula, en este contexto histórico, una teoría clara y coherente (su doctrina social) que apuesta para la reestructuración de sistema políticos y económicos que dignifiquen a la persona humana y, al mismo tiempo, coadyuben en la conformación de un mundo de paz y justicia, más allá de sus ingentes conflictos por ideologías e intereses divergentes.

For many reasons, such as the lucidity of his political thought with some impact on the international order of his time, or his leadership and charisma, Pope John XXIII was one of the most outstanding political actors of the twentieth century. In this order of ideas, the present article interprets in broad strokes the most significant approaches of the political thought of this distinguished man, with special emphasis on his vision of the international order that he had to live as head of the Catholic Church. Methodologically, a documentary-based methodology was used. Everything allows us to conclude that the Catholic Church played an outstanding role in the world as an agent of peace, with a manifest capacity for mediation and conflict resolution, even in non-Christian societies. Furthermore, in this historical context, the church postulates a clear and coherent theory (its social doctrine) that is committed to the restructuring of political and economic systems that dignify the human person and, at the same time, contribute to the conformation of a world of peace and justice, beyond its enormous conflicts due to ideologies and divergent interests.
