El recorrido de la Sociología de El Salvador: fortaleza para la interpretación de la crisis y la sociedad virtual

Abstract

La sociología europea llegó a la sociedad salvadoreña en 1880. En su evolución académica ha pasado por las siguientes fases: 1-‘Sociología de los aboga-dos’ -entre 1906 y finales de los ‘50-, que dejó un legado de investigaciones sobre la sociedad agro-exportadora de café. 2- ‘La Sociología formadora de profesionales’ –en la segunda mitad del siglo XX- en el contexto de la sociedad agro-industrial. Etapa en la cual universitarios enfrentaron de forma ‘contestataria y militante’ la dictadura militar que llevó a la coyuntura de guerras, que apenas desapareció en los años ochenta. 3- ‘La Sociología renovada’ que enfrenta otros desafíos en los escenarios del neoliberalismo del capital financiero y la cuarta revolución tecno-digital de la ‘Sociedad red, digital y virtual’ del siglo XXI.

European sociology reached Salvadoran society in 1880. In its academic evolution it has gone through the following phases: 1-’Sociology of lawyers’ - between 1906 and the late’ 50s -, which left a legacy of research on society agro-exporter of coffee. 2- ‘The professional training Sociology’ - in the second half of the 20th century - in the context of the agro-industrial society. Stage in which university students faced in a ‘contestatory and militant way’ the military dictatorship that led to the conjuncture of wars, which barely disappeared in the eighties. 3- The renewed Sociology ’that faces other challenges in the scenarios of financial capital neoliberalism and the fourth techno-digital revolution of the red Network, digital and virtual society’ of the 21st century.
