dc.description.abstractEl artículo examina la incidencia del presupuesto participativo en la gestión del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado (GAD) municipal de Portoviejo, provincia de Manabí, Ecuador, en 2023; utilizando la técnica de enfoque mixto, mayormente cuantitativo, se recopilaron datos a través de encuestas estructuradas y entrevistas. Se resalta la necesidad de fortalecer la inclusión de propuestas ciudadanas, mejorar las plataformas de comunicación y aumentar la transparencia y accesibilidad de la información presupuestaria para promover una gestión más democrática y eficaz.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe article examines the impact of the participatory budget on the management of the municipal Decentralized Autonomous Government (GAD) of Portoviejo, province of Manabí, Ecuador, in 2023; Using the mixed approach technique, mostly quantitative, data was collected through structured surveys and interviews. The need to strengthen the inclusion of citizen proposals, improve communication platforms and increase the transparency and accessibility of budget information to promote more democratic and effective management is highlighted.en_US
