Percepción de las familias acerca de la finalidad de la Educación Parvularia en Chile

Abstract

Esta investigación mide las percepciones de apoderados y familiares de Educación Parvularia sobre la finalidad de este nivel educativo. El estudio, de tipo cuantitativo y descriptivo, se basó en aplicar un cuestionario estilo Likert a 120 personas con algún niño en Educación Parvularia de tres comunas de la zona central de Chile. Se observa que ambos grupos están de acuerdo con que la familia es el primer educador y que los centros educativos promueven la identidad de los niños.

This research explores the perceptions of parents and guardians of kindergarten students regarding the purpose of early childhood education. The study, quantitative and descriptive type, involved the application of a Likert-style questionnaire to 120 participants with children enrolled in kindergarten across three districts in central Chile. The findings indicate a strong agreement among both groups that the family serves as the first educator and that educational institutions play a key role in fostering children’s identity.
