Comportamiento de las competencias digitales en docentes de un instituto superior tecnológico de Ecuador

Abstract

Se analizó el comportamiento de las competencias digitales docentes —tecnológica, informacional y comunicativa— en función de sexo, edad y nivel de instrucción, en un instituto superior tecnológico de Ecuador. Con enfoque cuantitativo y diseño correlacional, se aplicaron pruebas no paramétricas a 21 docentes. Se hallaron correlaciones significativas entre las tres dimensiones y una diferencia por sexo en la dimensión informacional, favorable a los hombres. Edad y nivel de instrucción no presentaron relación significativa.

The behavior of teachers' digital competencies—technological, informational, and communicative—was analyzed based on sex, age, and educational level at a higher technological institute in Ecuador. Using a quantitative approach and correlational design, nonparametric tests were administered to 21 teachers. Significant correlations were found between the three dimensions, and a gender difference was found in the informational dimension, favoring men. Age and educational level were not significantly related.
