Entorno virtual de aprendizaje como estrategia para favorecer la Gestión Educativa en la Universidad Nacional Experimental del Yaracuy

Abstract

Ante el vertiginoso avance de la ciencia y la tecnología en todas las esferas de la sociedad, con preponderancia en el uso del Internet y de las Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación (TIC), además de los justificados anhelos de democratización de los estudios superiores, la baja rentabilidad de los presupuestos para educación, la necesidad de una educación permanente y las bruscas transformaciones tecnológicas, se hace determinante el nacimiento y desarrollo de otras formas de enseñar y aprender, en las que no se exija la rigidez espacio temporal propia de la docencia convencional. Tal es el caso de la Educación a Distancia, con especial énfasis en los Entornos Virtuales de Aprendizaje (EVA), sustentados en las TIC, generando así un importante campo para la inclusión y la participación de la sociedad. En base a lo anterior, se propondrá un Entorno Virtual de Aprendizaje como Estrategia para favorecer la Gestión Educativa en la Universidad Nacional Experimental del Yaracuy (UNEY), con la finalidad de ofrecer a estudiantes y profesores un espacio educativo mucho más interactivo y abierto, adaptado a las necesidades socioeconómicas que limitan la sostenibilidad de estudios presenciales. Se partirá de la experiencia obtenida a través del Programa piloto de Educación Semipresencial con el Pregrado Ciencias del Deporte (PROSEUNEY), a través de un convenio interinstitucional con el Ministerio del Poder Popular para la Juventud y Deporte desde el año 2012, dirigido a atletas, entrenadores y dirigentes deportivos. El presente artículo abordará la educación a distancia en el contexto de la UNEY y pretenderá dar a conocer los avances preliminares de un proyecto de investigación con enfoque cuantitativo, bajo el paradigma positivista, mediante el diseño no experimental de campo, de tipo descriptivo, en la modalidad proyecto factible.

In view of the rapid advance of science and technology in all spheres of society, with a preponderance in the use of the Internet and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), in addition to the justified hopes for democratization of higher education, the low profitability of education budgets, the need for lifelong education and the sudden technological transformations, the birth and development of other forms of teaching and learning are decisive, in which the strict temporal space of teaching is not demanded as conventional, such is the case of Distance Education, with special emphasis on Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) based on ICT, generating, thus, an important field for the inclusion and participation of society. Based on the above, a Virtual Learning Environment will be proposed as a Strategy to favor Educational Management at the National Experimental University of Yaracuy (UNEY), in order to offer students and teachers a much more interactive and open educational space, adapted to the socio-economic needs that limit the sustainability of face-to-face studies. Emphasizing that it is part of the experience gained through the Pilot Program of the distance education with the Sports Sciences Undergraduate (PROSEUNEY), through an interinstitutional agreement with the Ministry of Popular Power for Youth and Sport since 2012, aimed at athletes, coaches and sports leaders. This text will address blended education in the context of the UNEY and will try to make known the preliminary advances of a research project with a quantitative approach under the positivist paradigm, through the non - experimental descriptive field design within the feasible project modality.
