Caracterización de los Trabajadores Sexuales Masculinos en España (2020-2021)

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es mejorar el conocimiento de la realidad de los hombres que ejercen el trabajo sexual con otros hombres en España, durante la pandemia por Covid-19. Para ello, se aborda el tema desde una aproximación cuantitativa, a través de la recopilación de datos de determinadas páginas webs, y se compara con los relatos obtenidos en lasentrevistas a varios trabajadores sexuales que narran su experiencia, motivaciones y proyectos vitales. Al comparar los resultados obtenidos mediante estos dos planteamientos, se encuentra una gran similitud en aspectos tales como la relación con el cliente, la motivación económica y el origen de los profesionales, principalmente latinoamericano. Se constata la independencia de los trabajadores, confirmándose que, en general, no están sujetos a mafias de trata de seres humanos. La pandemia ha propiciado eltrabajo online, mediante videos y chat. Se llega a la conclusión de que existe una doble estigmatización de esta profesión, por una parte, debido al trabajo sexual en sí, y por otra, por los comportamientos homófobos que incluso presentan algunos clientes que se identifican como heterosexuales, derivados de una masculinidad tradicional, desde una concepción heteronormativa. También se concluye que la búsqueda de afecto por parte del cliente es una de las principales motivaciones para acudir a estos servicios, por lo que la mayoría de chicos ofrecen su disponibilidad a besar y acariciar a sus clientes

The objective of this article is to improve knowledge of the reality of men who have sex with men in Spain, during the Covid-19 pandemic. The subject is treated from a quantitative approach, through the collection of data from several webs, and it is compared with the information obtained in the interviews with some sex workers who talk about their experience, motivations and vital projects. When comparing the results obtained through these two approaches, a great similarity is found in aspects such as the relationship with the client, economic motivation and the boys’ place of origin, mainly Latin American. The independence of the workers confirms that, in general, they are not subject to trafficking ofhuman beings. The pandemic has led to online activities, through videos and chat. It is concluded that there is a double stigmatization of this profession, on the one hand, due to the sex work itself, and on the other, due to the homophobic behaviours that some clients who identify themselves as heterosexuals even present, derived from a traditional masculinity within a heteronormative culture. It is also concluded that search for affection is one of the main motivations to request these services, which is why most boys offer their availability to kiss and caress their clients
