La educación geográfica, la realidad contemporánea y la enseñanza de la geografía

Abstract

El propósito es explicar la situación de la educación geografía, la realidad contemporánea y la enseñanza de la geografía. Se considera en las condiciones del mundo actual, promover la educación geográfica orientada a alfabetizar los ciudadanos ante las situaciones del mundo globalizado con una enseñanza de la geografía estimuladora de la elaboración del conocimiento apoyada en la investigación. Eso supone mejorar los procesos de enseñanza y de aprendizaje fundados en la tradicional transmisión de contenidos y proponer la acción indagadora para obtener el conocimiento, fomentar la participación activa en la formación de valores y la conciencia crítica. Metodológicamente, se realizó la revisión bibliográfica y analizan la educación geográfica, la educación geográfica y la realidad contemporánea, la educación geográfica y la enseñanza de la geografía. Se concluye al proponer renovar la enseñanza geográfica apoyada didácticamente en la investigación cualitativa y aporta conocimientos y prácticas factibles de asumir una opción pedagógica innovadora.

The purpose is to explain the situation of geography education, contemporary reality and the teaching of geography. Under the conditions of today's world, it is considered to promote geographical education aimed at making citizens literate in the situations of the globalized world with teaching of geography that stimulates the development of knowledge supported by research.This means improving the teaching and learning processes based on the traditional transmission of content and proposing investigative action to obtain knowledge, promoting active participation in the formation of values and critical consciousness. Methodologically, the bibliographic review was carried out and geographical education, geographical education and contemporary reality, geographical education and the teaching of geography were analyzed. It concludes by proposing to renew geographical teaching didactically supported by qualitative research and provides knowledge and practices that are feasible to assume an innovative pedagogical option
