Desarrollo de un chatbot inteligente con LLM para diagnóstico médico de la enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica

Abstract

La Enfermedad Pulmonar Obstructiva Crónica (EPOC) constituye un reto por su detección tardía. Este trabajo presenta un prototipo de chatbot inteligente construido con LLM, que integra faiss y embeddings semánticos aplicados a la fragmentación de datos clínicos. El sistema procesa consultas en lenguaje natural y genera recomendaciones fundamentadas. Los resultados muestran coherencia validada por especialista y el despliegue local confirma su utilidad práctica. Se busca ofrecer una herramienta accesible para apoyar el diagnóstico temprano y el manejo clínico.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is challenging to detect due to its late onset. This paper presents a prototype intelligent chatbot built with LLM, which integrates faiss and semantic embeddings applied to clinical data fragmentation. The system processes queries in natural language and generates informed recommendations. The results show consistency validated by specialists, and local deployment confirms its practical usefulness. The aim is to offer an accessible tool to support early diagnosis and clinical management.
