El ser y el deber ser de la educación sexual integral en Venezuela

Abstract

La educación sexual integral es crucial en cualquier sociedad para el bienestar físico, emocional y social de las personas. Como problema social trascurre entre enseñanza y aprendizaje soportado por programas de estudios que versan sobre los elementos cognitivos, psicológicos, físicos. Venezuela enfrenta desafíos y contradicciones debido a las barreras sociales. El deber ser se basa en la modalidad ofrecida en los contenidos acordes a la edad y desarrollo cognitivo de los niños, niñas y adolescentes. Este ensayo presenta el reto social por la discrepancia entre el “Ser” y el “Deber Ser”; Esas desavenencias entre lo socialmente aceptado y lo que la educación debe brindar, en el entorno familiar o escolar.

Comprehensive sexual education is crucial in any society for the physical, emotional and social well-being of people. As a social problem, it occurs between teaching and learning supported by study programs that deal with cognitive, psychological and physical elements. Venezuela faces challenges and contradictions due to social barriers. The duty to be is based on the modality offered in the contents according to the age and cognitive development of children and adolescents. This essay presents the social challenge due to the discrepancy between the "Being" and the "Should Be"; these disagreements between what is socially accepted and what education should provide, in the family or school environment.
