Investigación en arquitectura. Una prespectiva desde la complementariedad paradigmática y metodológica

Abstract

En cada tiempo histórico el hecho arquitectónico ha sido fundamental para el desarrollo de las sociedades, dándose perfeccionamiento de sus técnicas. En ese sentido, la historia y la ciencia tienen una conexión indisoluble que nace en el momento mismo en que estos campos del saber se constituyen, por lo cual deben conocerse las variantes ontoepistémicas. Esa interesante relación se halla en el quehacer del científico. De ahí que el propósito del artículo es comprender la perspectiva paradigmática y metodológica junto a sus variantes para la investigación en el área de la arquitectura. Se asumió desde la sustentabilidad epistemológica el paradigma interpretativo con enfoque cualitativo y el método hermenéutico. Participaron ocho informantes clave, todos docentes universitarios e investigadores. Como técnica de recolección de información se empleó la observación participante y la entrevista en profundidad y como instrumento las notas de campo y el guion de entrevista. Se partió de una revisión documental con estudio de campos previos, cuyos hallazgos evidencian que hay opiniones diferentes en cuanto a su complementariedad y esto justifica una búsqueda de nuevos referentes.

In every historical period, the architectural fact has been fundamental for the development of societies, giving rise to the improvement of their techniques. In this sense, history and science have an indissoluble connection that is born at the very moment in which these fields of knowledge are constituted, for which reason the ontoepistemic variants must be known. This interesting relationship is found in the work of the scientist. Hence, the purpose of the article is to understand the paradigmatic and methodological perspective together with its variants for research in the area of architecture. The interpretive paradigm with a qualitative approach and the hermeneutic method were assumed from the epistemological sustainability. Eight key informants participated, all university professors and researchers. Participant observation and in-depth interviews were used as a technique for collecting information, and field notes and the interview script were used as instruments. The starting point was a documentary review with a study of previous fields, whose findings show that there are different opinions regarding their complementarity and this justifies a search for new references.
