Actitudes y percepciones de estudiantes del ISFODOSU hacia el aprendizaje de la química

Abstract

El presente estudio fue realizado en el Instituto Superior de Formación Docente Salomé Ureña (ISFODOSU), República Dominicana. Tuvo como objetivo investigar la percepción y la actitud hacia la química de los estudiantes de la licenciatura en Biología Orientada a la Educación Secundaria. La investigación se realizó bajo el paradigma positivista con un enfoque cuantitativo. La actitud/percepción de los estudiantes fue medida a través de dos instrumentos basados en el Método de Clases Sumadas o Escala de Likert y el Método de Diferencial Semántico. Los resultados indican que, en los estudiantes de ISFODOSU, se presenta una disposición intelectual y emocional positiva hacia la química, la cual se ve favorecida por la inclusión de estrategias didácticas modernas que involucran demostraciones, módulos de simulación y experimentación.

This study was conducted at the Instituto Superior de Formación Docente Salomé Ureña (ISFODOSU), Dominican Republic. It aimed to investigate the perception and attitude towards chemistry of students of the bachelor's degree in Biology Oriented to Secondary Education. The research was performed under the positivist paradigm with a quantitative approach. The attitude/perception of the students was measured through two instruments based on the Method of Summated Rating or Likert Scale and the Semantic Differential Method. The results indicate that, in ISFODOSU students, there is a positive intellectual and emotional disposition towards chemistry, which is favored by the inclusion of modern didactic strategies that involve demonstrations, simulation modules and experimentation.Keywords:Perception, Attitude, Learning, Chemistry.
