Las redes sociales como herramienta en la gestión de enfermería en la unidad de cuidados intensivos (UCI) del Instituto Autónomo Hospital Universitario de Los Andes Mérida estado Mérida, Periodo enero-julio 2022 (estrategias de orientación)

Abstract

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo proponer Estrategias de Orientación en el uso de Redes Sociales como herramienta de la gestión de Enfermería en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI) del Instituto Autónomo Hospital Universitario de Los Andes. Periodo Enero-Julio 2022. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, con diseño no experimental de campo, y corte transversal, bajo la modalidad proyecto factible. La población estuvo conformada por 38 profesionales de Enfermería. Se utilizó un cuestionario tipo escala de Likert con cinco (5) alternativas de respuesta: Siempre, Casi Siempre, A Veces, Casi Nunca y Nunca, contentivo de 22 ítems el cual fue validado por tres especialistas en el área bajo la técnica juicio de expertos. Los resultados arrojaron para la dimensión datos sociodemográficos, la mayoría del personal tenía entre 31 a 40 años de edad, eran de género femenino, con nivel académico de especialista, navegan perfectamente con su teléfono móvil, conocen principalmente las redes sociales telegram, whatsApp e instagram y las utilizan, esencialmente como interacción social, entretenimiento y herramienta educativa. Para la dimensión que valoró la aplicación de las redes sociales, la mayoría del personal encuestado manifestó que siempre las redes sociales son útiles para fortalecer el conocimiento, para aumentar los saberes sobre las patologías más frecuentes y siempre representan un medio favorecedor para que los Enfermeros cumplan con su función docente. Para la dimensión que determinó la factibilidad de las estrategias de aprendizaje en redes sociales, la mayoría del personal encuestado manifestó que la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos, nunca cuenta con acceso para el uso del internet, ni con dispositivos wifi, igualmente nunca realizan sesiones educativas mediante el uso de redes sociales. Por otra parte, siempre poseen los dispositivos adecuados (celular, tablet, pc) para la utilización de las redes sociales, de igual forma, un mismo porcentaje de encuestados indicaron que siempre y casi nunca tienen los recursos económicos para mantener operativo el uso del internet.

The objective of this study was to propose learning strategies in social networks to strengthen nursing management in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Instituto Autónomo Hospital Universitario de Los Andes. Period January-July 2022. A descriptive study was carried out, with a non-experimental field design, and cross section, under the feasible project modality. The population consisted of 38 nursing professionals. A Likert scale questionnaire with five (5) response alternatives was used: always, almost always, sometimes, almost never and never, containing 22 items, which was validated by three specialists in the area under the expert judgment technique. The results yielded socio demographic data for the dimension: the majority of the personnel were between 31 and 40 years of age, they were female, with a specialist academic level, they are proficient in the use of mobile devices, they are mostly familiar with Telegram, WhatsApp and Instagram and use them essentially as a social interaction, entertainment and educational tool. For the dimension that assessed the application of social networks, the majority of the staff surveyed stated that social networks are always useful to strengthen knowledge, they are always useful to increase knowledge about the most frequent pathologies, and they always represent a favorable means for nurses to fulfill their teaching role. For the dimension that determined the feasibility of learning strategies in social networks, the majority of the staff surveyed stated that the Intensive Care Unit doesn’t have internet access, or Wi-Fi devices; likewise they never carry out educational sessions through the Internet. On the other hand, they always have the appropriate devices (cell phone, tablet, PC) for the use of social networks, as well as the same percentage of respondents indicated that they always and almost never have the financial resources to use Internet.
