Aproximaciones teóricas sobre la educación en valores

Abstract

La educación en valores, en medio del cambio vertiginoso de la sociedad y en ella de las generaciones que llegan a las aulas de las escuelas y colegios, viene a ser presentada como uno de los desafíos más importantes de la sociedad actual; más allá de un listado de acciones positivas y negativas, los valores representan la fuerza de la educación integral a la que se refieren la mayoría de las bases curriculares de las instituciones educativas de Venezuela y de toda América Latina. Este ensayo se plantea como objetivo reflexionar sobre la naturaleza de los valores, especificar los aspectos teóricos que la enfocan y presentar algunas reflexiones que orienten las respuestas a la educación en valores en la sociedad actual. Todo esto bajo el enfoque metodológico hermenéutico y el sustento teórico de autores como Fabelo (2004), Seijo (2009), Morín (2004) entre otros. Las reflexiones finales se orientan a la naturaleza integrada de los valores, a la escuela como espacio reforzador de los mismos, considerando que la educación en valores es un acto de naturaleza compleja, una experiencia vital donde el centro es la persona en cada estudiante, que pasa por la orientación social, la familia y los alcances tecnológicos de las nuevas generaciones.

Education in values, in the midst of the vertiginous change in society and in it of the generations that arrive in the classrooms of schools and colleges, comes to be presented as one of the most important challenges of today's society; Beyond a list of positive and negative actions, the values represent the force of integral education to which most of the curricular bases of educational institutions in Venezuela and throughout Latin America refer. The objective of this essay is to reflect on the nature of values, specify the theoretical aspects that focus on it, and present some reflectionsthat guide responses to values education in today's society. All this under the hermeneutical methodological approach and the theoretical support of authors such as Fabelo (2004), Seijo (2009), Morín (2004) among others. The final reflections are oriented to the integrated nature of values, to the school as a reinforcing space for them, considering that education in values is an act of complex nature, a vital experience where the center is the person in each student, who it goes through the social orientation, the family and the technological reach of the new generations.
